Facebook post from a netizen suggests a strategy of using MRT as the main transport line and medical corridor that seamlessly transfer them to different malls in case number of patients gets overwhelming.

“Assuming we hit 50,000 patients and medical transport gets overwhelmed – malls would make perfect quarantine zones for the sick while the MRT that connects them perfect transport solution for medical workers, supplies, and patients. Trains will be ‘sealed’. Different trains for different purposes,” said Facebook user Jerry Tieng in a post, adding that hospitals operate the said train on their own and volunteers can bring donations to every station.

The malls are situated directly to the MRT, which would serve as city-wide isolation facility with available supplies, built-in chokepoints, and easier parking spaces for ambulances in collecting patients.

“50% income tax discount for specific malls that participate. Unli-banner on all government presscon,” he explained in terms of its cost-effectiveness. He also added that SOGO can be an alternative.

The post had gained positive reactions about 2,200, 117 comments, and 1,700 shares as of this writing.

France had adopted the similar approach for its coronavirus patients for evacuation using their high-speed train equipped with mobile emergency room.
