The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) announced to provide technical assistance to the government’s recent humanitarian assistance database for its system’s availability and cybersecurity.
Philippine Humanitarian Assistance Registry (PHAR) website aims to provide government transparency and accountability containing information on humanitarian assistance received by the country, the types of donation, and a list of beneficiaries who received the said donations amid COVID-19 pandemic.
It provides information on preferred donations recommended by the Department of Health (DOH) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). It will also be used for future pandemics and natural disasters.
Launched on August 24, the PHAR website is a joint initiative of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), the Office of the Civil Defense (OCD), and the DICT. It was developed through the DICT’s Portal Content Management System (Portal CMS).
