Chinese video game developer known for its “Genshin Impact,” miHoYo, announced its upcoming mystery otome game to go live worldwide, starting with a closed beta by May 8, 2021.
Tears of Themis is a visual novel game followed by a young female lawyer working at the Themis law firm as the main character. True to its genre, it comes with romantic elements where players can choose among various male characters as the MC’s love interest.
However, the gameplay is the big hype here: the main objective is to investigate crimes and uphold justice in her beloved city. Players get to interrogate people, investigate cases, spot inconsistency and lies, and enjoy the legal drama there is. Sounds familiar? It’s basically much like the highly-acclaimed Ace Attorney by Capcom.
Interested gamers out there can get a chance to try the closed beta by going to miHoYo’s website. Simply register a miHoYo account and fill up the forms before May 6, 2021. It’ll notify registrants days before the game is set for the closed beta.
