Microsoft Edge will be receiving a handy feature, “Performance mode,” which will improve “speed, responsiveness, memory, CPU and battery usage” for a chosen tab.
The new mode is still in development, according to The Verge. But this provides an option for productive users who need to optimize one browser tab.
Alternatively, this turns off the sleeping tabs timer. This feature set inactive tabs to sleep for a certain amount of time, improving overall performance for the computer by 32% memory usage and 37% CPU usage.
Install Edge canary Version 91.0.856.0 (Official Build) canary (64-bit) or later to check out Performance mode.
