Riot Games announced that the 2021 League of Legends World Championship will take place in Shenzhen, China.
The finals will be at the Universiade Sports Centre, a stadium that can hold up to 60,000 people, on November 6th.
“Shenzhen is China’s most competitive and innovative city with thousands of high-tech startups and entrepreneurial pursuits, so we felt that it was the perfect landscape to host our Finals,” said John Needham, Global Head of Esports for Riot Games.
This is the second year the tournament is hosted in China. Last year, South Korea’s DAMWON Gaming took home the Summoner’s Cup.
Riot Games will further share mo details about the early rounds of the tournament in the future.
