Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso offered his government’s online tax payment system to other local government units (LGUs) free of charge to help constituents settle their taxes at home to prevent contracting COVID-19.
The Manila City government recently launched a website where Manila residents can process their tax payments online, called the City of Manila Local Government System, which provides a digital solution for LGUs amid the pandemic.
Aside from the payment of taxes, the public may also apply and secure their community tax certificates (cedula). Other services will soon be available such as application for birth certificates or get their local civil registry on the website.
