Globe would release quick response (QR)-code identification cards to prevent its contractors and lessors from fraud.
The QR-code ID can determine agents as authorized representatives of Globe. It will ensure legitimacy in Globe’s site acquisition, site management, and right of way agents employed by its accredited partners or vendors.
This move was implemented following the company’s issues against parties who pretend to be brokers or contractors to take advantage of property and building owners’ trust.
“The public should be careful in transacting with people claiming to represent the company,” said Vince Tempongko, Globe VP for Site Acquisition and Management.
We encourage property owners to check the legitimacy of these agents’ identities and credentials through the QR code before they entertain offers from anyone,” he added.
Globe reminded that they don’t ask for payments or fees directly given to their supposed agents.
