Globe pushes through its reforestation, watershed conservation, and carbon dioxide (CO2) reduction efforts to resist climate change by taking several actions and collaborating with its customers.

As a result, Globe has raised PHP15.65 million to cover 156 hectares of reforestation sites in Bukidnon and Lanao del Sur through its long-term partnership with Hineleban Foundation.

The Hineleban partnership led to conserve an estimate of 25,083.13 metric tons of C02 to reduce 96,069.04 metric tons of C02 by 2025. This is done by planting various tree species such as Narra, White and Red Lauaan, Mamalis, Bitaog, Ulayan and Katii.

Globe also formed a 5-year partnership with The Mead Foundation starting in 2019 to undertake permanent reforestation activities in the upland areas of Iba, Zambales. The first 3 hectares were planted with over 30,000 seedlings so far, and more will be produced once pioneer species mature. This reforestation partnership also brought livelihood to the displaced Aeta communities.

Finally, Globe engaged with the Zoological Society of London for its mangrove rehabilitation program in Iloilo to start this 2021.

Globe encourages its customers to donate their Rewards points or GCash credits. A 100 Rewards point or PHP100 GCash donation is enough to plant one tree.
