Globe, DepEd to hold online safety workshop for teachers, students on Aug 4-5

Globe Telecom and the Department of Education (DepEd) collaborated to conduct a live webinar on cybersecurity and wellness for the education sector to achieve a safer online learning environment for teachers and students this coming school year.

The “Global Filipino Teacher Series: Digital Thumbprint Program (DTP) webinar is set on August 4-5, from 2:00-4:00 PM through Globe Bridging Communities Facebook Page led by Globe with panelists from UNICEF and the DepEd.

The DTP is a series of workshops on digital citizenship, online safety, and the responsible use of the internet, ranging from ever-changing online threats and online etiquette.

“Globe continues to support DepEd’s thrust of delivering quality education and training to learners and educators and is one with the government in helping keep the online community safe for everyone, especially the children,” said Yoly Crisanto, Globe Chief Sustainability Officer and SVP for Corporate Communications.
