The Civil Service Commission (CSC) stressed the significant role of technology in the evolution of public service in the Philippines as it transitions to the new normal amid the pandemic.
“This includes reassessing the ways the government has been doing business, setting goals and targets, managing people, and evaluating work performance,” said CSC Chairperson Alicia dela Rosa-Bala.
“CSC recognizes that innovation has now become a crucial ingredient not only to meet organizational objectives but also to keep employees safe, healthy, productive, and motivated,” Dela Rosa-Bala added.
CSC made this appeal ahead of the upcoming 120th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary in September, celebrating with the theme “Philippine Civil Service @120: Public Sector in the Age of Digital Transformation.”
The activities set for the anniversary will be mainly online. CSC will hold a virtual press conference starting on September 1, followed by the 2020 Government Online Career Fair from September 14 – 18.
