Genshin Impact has blown to popularity as an open-world mass multiplayer online roleplaying-game to date.
Its developer, miHoYo, recently revealed extra features coming to the game via its Update 1.2 to make it even more exciting and engaging for players.
Here are the key takeaways:
Friend System & Private Chat Function
Update 1.2 will enable players to connect more with their buddies through the friend system, in which they can chat or send a private message, online or not.
In the same vein, players can also set up a nickname for their buddies that will show up in the friend lists and chats. Of course, only they can see the nicknames they picked for their buddies.
Genshin Impact now comes with Travel Log found on the Archive which stores all texts and audio dialogue from previous completed Archon Quests and Story Quests.
Players who like to relive their favorite scenes can opt to replay them through the log.
For players who are frustrated and lazy to repeat the Domain challenge by re-entering Domain, miHoYo listened and answered the call to make it more convenient.
Now Genshin Impact comes with a repeat option for that challenge. Feel free to spam the button out of the Domain.
Co-op Connectivity Improvement
Players can leave Co-Op Domains anytime without disrupting the battle for other players. As for those in the Co-Op, the host can disband the team by returning to the single-player. Their progress will still be saved even when the team has disbanded.
Other notable features include:
- Auto Pick-Up Domain and Leyline Drops
- Trackable custom bookmarks/pins
- New Free Acquaint Fate System
miHoYo revealed that the new update will go live by December 23, 2020.
Genshin Impact is currently available for free download on PlayStation 4, desktop, and mobile devices.
