Filipino broadcast journalist Raffy Tulfo is set to launch a local take of Shopee and Lazada called Idol Shopping Network (ISN) this January.
The platform will feature categories such as Idol Products, Health and Beauty, Fresh, and Electronic Devices.
ISN is unique because it will undergo a stricter verifying procedure and a more comprehensive delivery process to ensure quality.
Tulfo claims the merchants and resellers who will become part of the platform are “well-screened” and the items for sale will be checked first.
Customers must sign a contract that states they agree to be recorded on a video and photographed while opening their deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction.
They will also sign a document to confirm the product they ordered is the right one and that it is in good condition. If not, they won’t need to pay for the wrong delivery. They are also welcome to complain about the products.
The veteran broadcaster shared that his ventures with the masses who sought justice inspired him to open up an online market for small entrepreneurs.
Tulfo’s children will manage and operate ISN in the country.
