The Department of Justice (DOJ) has established an inter-agency task force assigned to look into the proliferation of dummy Facebook accounts bearing the names of students, government officials, and members of the media.

The inter-agency task force includes the National Privacy Commission (NPC), Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), said DOJ Undersecretary Markk Perete.

He added that the inter-agency task force will coordinate with Facebook for the investigation within the week. So far, 198 individuals have reported to the DOJ about having a duplicate Facebook account.
