Snapchat announced new features that deliver “the biggest stories across politics, entertainment, sports, and more into a new, easy-to-consume format customized for mobile.”

The feature is named Happening Now; the new service aimed to provide news to its users quickly. So far, several news publishers such as The Washington Post, NBC News, ESPN, E! News, and BuzzFeed News are in on the feature.

Furthermore, Snap is also working on to contain stress and anxiety plaguing social networks by offering meditation tools from health tech group Headspace, providing apps for easing the worries and concerns.

“We found that an overwhelming majority of Snapchatters experience feelings of stress and anxiety and that their friends are the first people they turn to when they need help, more than professionals or even their parents,” Snap said.

Likewise, the company will also enhance the deployment of “Here For You,” an initiative that assists people suffering from stress and emotional issues.
