SAP SE recently announced the 2021 Best Run Awards for South East Asia (SEA) winners.

As SAP marks 50 years, the Best Run Awards celebrates leading organizations that have highlighted new ways of thinking, adapted to the new norms, and deployed technologies that set the benchmark for their industry to drive successful business transformation in today’s digital economy.

For this year’s winners, SAP recognizes leading regional organizations NUHS, SATS, Terumo Asia Holdings, and DKSH Corporate Shared Services Center for embodying success and excellence in the following categories: The Sustainability Award and the Most Adaptable Award.

National University Health System (NUHS) – The Most Transformational Award

The Most Transformational Award was awarded to National University Health System (NUHS).

Priscilla Teo, Group Chief HR Officer, NUHS, said: “NUHS inherited two legacy HR systems when Singapore re-clustered the healthcare services in 2017, which made business processes tedious and cumbersome. Despite strict government security regulations and limited web access on the office network, we successfully pivoted to a cloud-based SaaS solution on SAP SuccessFactors, making it the first cloud based HRIS implementation in Singapore’s public health care sector. This implementation provided NUHS 15,000 employees 24/7 access to HR-related information via a single mobile app called myHR mobile, and within the first month of go-live, over 90% of the employees have logged in, with a whopping 85% activation rate.”

SATS – Most Adaptable Award

SAP is also proud to present SATS with the inaugural Most Adaptable Award.

Manfred Seah, Chief Financial Officer, SATS, said, “At SATS, we have grown and evolved over the years with largely disparate and non-standardized processes. For better efficiency, we needed good data visibility to improve our cost capture and profit analysis to build an agile yet robust system landscape. With SAP S/4 HANA as the digital core, SATS adopted standard SAP functionalities to uplift capabilities allowing SATS to pivot and scale.”

Terumo Asia Holdings – Emerging Frontier Market Award

Terumo Asia Holdings demonstrated an enterprising mindset and bagged the Emerging Frontier Market Award.

Benoit De Saeger, Regional Director, Terumo Asia Holdings, said: “Terumo is a global leader in medical technology, contributing to society through healthcare for 100 years. In Asia, our claims processes were manual, and expense management systems fragmented. All of this made consolidating data and analytics across regional headquarters and nine Asia Pacific entities a huge challenge.”

DKSH Corporate Shared Services Center – Sustainability and Best Customer Experience Management awards

DKSH Corporate Shared Services Center clinched the Sustainability and Best Customer Experience Management awards. Sam Oh, Chief Information Officer, DKSH Corporate Shared Services Center, said, “In early 2020, we built an online Product Information Management (PIM) system to create and standardize digital product contents. By leveraging the SAP Commerce Cloud, we have seen increased activities in the chemical business by 900%, digital leads by 500%, 45% increase in customers, and a 48% increase in order value for our E-commerce business.”

A US$30,000 donation will be made by SAP on behalf of the winning organizations to the ASEAN Data Science Explorers Program. For a complete list of finalists, please refer here.
