RSG’s Philippines esports team (RSG PH) dominated the competition as the regional champions of MLBB’s Southeast Asia (SEA) Cup 2022.

“It is very satisfying to secure this victory just as we are about to celebrate the fifth anniversary of RSG, and this win is a testament to the growth of the company since our inception. The industry has developed exponentially over the years, and we have proven ourselves to be one of the titans of the Southeast Asian esports scene,” said RSG CEO Jayf Soh.

RSG PH took home the first prize of USD140,000 after defeating the Indonesian team, RQQ Hoshi, with a clean sweep of 4-0 in the final match.

“This was an intense battle against talented competition, and we are thrilled to have emerged victorious as champions of Southeast Asia. Even during hard times, pressure and stress will always be there but we persevered with patience and hard work. This is a massive achievement for us, and one that we want to build on for even greater success in the future,” added RSG PH’s Team Manager, Lourdes’ Lexie’ Claudine Yambao.

Known for its relentless approach to competing, the RSG PH team earned the title of ‘Kingslayers’ after its domineering victories against former champions during the Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 8 and eventually achieving the championship title in MPL Philippines Season 9.

A leading eSports organization headquartered in Singapore aimed to dominate the gaming scene in Southeast Asia, RSG is committed to challenging the narrative for gaming and esports. It has so far achieved double championships in both MPL Singapore and MPL Philippines as the only esports team to have won a total of four MPL championships in three different domestic leagues in the last three years.
