Asia-America Gateway (AAG), international trans-Pacific submarine cable systems, will have its emergency maintenance activities for five days, affecting the internet services of Smart, PLDT, and Sky Cable.
These internet service providers announced in separate network advisories that the maintenance would result in a slow internet connection, which would start on September 25 at 8 AM until September 30 at 5 AM.
While their subscribers would likely experience varying internet speed during peak hours, the companies assured that services would remain available to the best of their ability amid the ongoing pandemic. There will also be regular updates during the maintenance activity.
Globe Telecom, meanwhile, assured in a statement that the maintenance would not affect its internet services.
