Pinoy to voice over protagonist in a sci-fi visual novel game

A Filipino would likely voice over the protagonist in the sci-fi visual novel “Solar Echoes: The Star Legation” if it meets the Kickstarter goal of $7,000.

Adding voice acting elements would “enhance the intimacy of these moments by creating a deeper, more immersive and emotional experience,” the campaign says.

Filipino voice actor Josh Portillo will partially voice Trey Donovan. Controlled by a player, the main character will journey across space as the only human representative aboard the starship Concordant.

Portillo said that the game is about “bringing the universe together during a time of crisis.” The diplomatic mission requires the player to build a crew of diverse aliens and make drastic choices that can affect the mission’s outcome.

American developer Corefun Studios, LLC, said the game is a “choice-driven Sci-Fi Visual Novel game with RPG elements.”

The demo version of “Solar Echoes: The Star Legation” is already available to download on Steam for free.
