The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) officially launched the PhilSys pre-registration website for the Philippine national ID today. But after its launch, the registration site for PhilSys quickly goes under maintenance.
The online registration is available to resident Filipinos who haven’t completed the Step 1 phase. Those who have registered through house-to-house collection no longer have to take it, as that would cause data redundancy.
The online registration only supports Android platforms so far but announced the iOS support will also be available soon.
But as of today, the PhilSys website is under maintenance due to “some technical difficulties,” as PSA issued an advisory just hours earlier. The number of users accessing the website is likely among the reasons for the website to go under maintenance.
“We will provide updates as soon as the website is up and running. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused,” ayon sa statement ng Philippine Statistics Authority.
Keep up to date when the website is accessible by checking through PSA’s official Facebook page.
