Pro weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz, who recently won a gold medal in Tokyo 2020 Olympics, was chosen to be Smart Communication’s latest ambassador.
This partnership aims to bring empowerment to aspiring Filipino athletes and Smart’s million loyal subscribers. The collaboration is expected as the MVP Sports Foundation carries a long history of sponsoring athletes in the Philippines. This is in line with telco’s push to support all kinds of sports in the country.
Besides being a Smart ambassador, Hidilyn Diaz will also be promoting Smart’s value brand TNT, embodying “simple at totoo, mapangarap, madiskarte, positibo, and makatropa” among the Filipino youths. Aptly with Diaz joining the team, the brand further encourages local talents to showcase their abilities to the world.
“Andito ako lumalaban para sa Pilipinas. I don’t want to give up for myself and for you because young athletes deserve a role model who doesn’t give up on her dreams,” said Hidilyn Diaz.
