Apple has finally unveiled the iPhone 12 series that introduces Verizon’s 5G in the lineup, consisting of models namely the iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
Apart from 5G support, another new feature of the iPhone 12 is MagSafe which provides better wireless charging experience.
MagSafe comes with an ecosystem of cases and accessories for the new iPhone series, all of which are designed to magnetically attach to the phone and recharge it seamlessly.
The iPhone 12 series will not ship along with a charger and earbuds, leaving only the USB-C to Lightning cable as the free accessory.
The move is part of Apple’s initiatives to make their offices and products carbon neutral by 2030. By doing so, Apple expects to save two million metric tons of carbon yearly.
iPhone 12 sports a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display covered with a ceramic shield. Powered by Apple’s A14 Bionic chipset, this model maintains a 12MP image sensor for the wide- and ultrawide-angle camera.
iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max come with a 6.1-inch and a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR display, respectively. iPhone 12 Pro features the best camera in the series, as it houses a 47% larger sensor, better optical zoom, and the newly introduced Apple ProRAW that gives the flexibility of RAW format on smartphones.
The iPhone 12 Mini, on the other hand, is the smallest variant in the series with a 5.4-inch display. This model is for those people who prefer smartphones to fit in their hands comfortably.
The iPhone 12 mini starts at $699, the regular iPhone 12 at $799, iPhone 12 Pro at $999, and iPhone 12 Pro Max at $1,099.
