Facebook introduced on Tuesday on updates for Messenger Kids, the child-friendly version of Facebook Messenger, that provides features for parents or guardians to give more control over their child’s digital activities, in response to the feedbacks made by the parents of children who used the app.
The features will then let parents able to check all text chat and video chat history and the frequency of conversations with specific contacts over the previous 30 days. This also includes access to all photos and videos to be reviewed, removed and reported by parents if deemed fit.
Any reports or blocks of contacts, posts, or messages done by the child will also be accessible by their parents in which they can remotely sign their child out of the application.
In addition, All Messenger information including contacts, messages, images, and videos both sent and received by the child’s account can also be downloaded with the child to be informed of this request.
All these features to Messenger Kids are seen in the Parent Dashboard located in the menu of a parent’s main Facebook account.
