Joint Task Force COVID Shield reminded Internet shop owners to strictly follow the health guidelines set by the government in line with the upcoming resumption of classes on October 5.

JTF COVID Shield Commander Police Lt. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar noted that Internet shops would be the place for students to avail themselves of computers and Internet connection for their online classes, which are allowed to operate since September.

While it’s understandable that several elementary and high school students in public schools don’t have the required devices for e-learning, Eleazar urged Internet shop owners to ensure that establishments will follow safety measures and keep their establishments regularly disinfected.

He added police commanders should begin accounting for all these shops and coordinate with local government units (LGUs) to ensure that guidelines are observed.
