Your neighborhood’s sari-sari store can now be more than just where you buy your favorite, go-to snacks! With Rizal Commercial Banking Corp.’s (RCBC) newest innovation called Cash Express, sari-sari stores, and anyone interested to be RCBC’s partner merchants can be like a mini bank.
Cash Express, the latest service from RCBC, allows customers to make transactions normally done over an ATM, such as cash withdrawals, bills payments, cash transfers, RCBC MyWallet reloading, mobilephone reloading, and balance inquiries even without being on an actual RCBC branch.
RCBC, with the objective and commitment of bringing banking convenience and easy access to their customers, is the first bank to offer a service complete with all the functions of an ATM in a mobile phone point-of-sale or POS device.
“This new facility will allow RCBC customers to do transactions at partner merchants that are closer, and more convenient to them. This is beneficial for our customers who live in far-flung areas. They won’t have to travel all the way to our branches, but, instead, do their transactions at the accredited centers and merchants right in their own communities,” said Margarita Lopez, RCBC head for operations and digital banking.
“We believe that all Filipinos deserve easy access to banking services no matter where they are in the country,” she added.
RCBC will offer free Cash Express kits containing a smartphone with a SIM card, pin pad, thermal printer, and marketing collaterals.
The bank will also provide free trainings to give adequate knowledge on how to use and operate Cash Express.
