Senate Committee on Finance Vice-Chairman Senator Christopher “Bong” Go emphasized the importance of digitalizing the entire financial management operations and the establishment of the E-Gov Pay Facility to facilitate the collections and disbursement of the government.

Go said it’s high time to “prepare for the new normal” and effectively “eliminate corruption, enhance transparency, provide safe, and convenient delivery of services to the people and encourage citizen feedback and participation.”

The neophyte senator added that the transition is in line with his proposed Senate Bill No. 1738 or the E-Governance Act of 2020 that aims to establish an integrated, interconnected, and interoperable information and communications network.

“As we move forward, we need to make long-lasting plans not only for our recovery but also for our sustainable future,” Go added.
