A legend in the Philippine’s music industry, the “blacksmith of words” Gloc-9 will be leading his team of protégées circuit rap phenom Shanti Dope and rap-acoustic princess Lirah in Barkada bar tour this summer which will start off with a gig in Padi’s Baguio.
Starting this week throughout June, the trio will take turns in combing 19 stops across a majority of Padi’s 26 Luzon-wide branches, while performing a total of 11 shows together.
Aristotle Pollisco as his real name, Gloc-9 was popular for the hits, “Hari ng Tondo,” “Sirena” and “Magda” among many others. Gloc-9 is the organon in establishing a foundation of the careers for the controversial Shanti Dope, whose own hits include “Nadarang,” “Shantidope” and “Amatz;” and Lirah who is currently on the rise with the popular singles “Sahod” and “Mahal Mo Rin Ba Ako?”.
Alternative rock act Sandiwa and former “Tawag Ng Tanghalan” contender JKris will also be joining the Asintado crew in some shows.
