Giant telecommunication company, Globe Telecom, assured that its connectivity in areas with outage caused by the power interruption upon the impact of typhoon “Rolly” will be restored as soon as possible.
Globe informed all of its customers that its services of the following updates:
- NCR internet/data services are available while restorations are ongoing for call and text messages in affected areas
- Texts, calls, mobile and data/internet services in Camarines Norte are fully restored
- Text and calls are fully restored in Samar and Western Samar, with difficulty in data service for select areas
- Customers in Bicol, Camarines Sur, and Albay will have difficulty in services as more than 90% of its wireless coverage is still down due to power failure
Globe is also deploying relief operations in highly affected areas, particularly for 3,200 families in Bicol Region to receive food packs, with the help of ABS-CBN Foundation Inc. and Rise Against Hunger Philippines Inc. Globe will also deploy Jeepney WiFi to handle Libreng Tawag, Libreng Charging, and Libreng WiFi services as soon as they’re able.
