Globe has successfully acquired 715 permits from local government units (LGUs) across the Philippines that will allow the telco to further improve its services for customers.
Signed by relevant government agencies earlier this year, the Joint Memorandum Circular (JMC) No. 01 facilitates the faster issuance of telco permits at the LGU level.
Cavite, Bulacan, Batangas, Rizal, and Pangasinan are among the top five provinces that had issued the most number of building permits to telcos.
The 47 other provinces and cities that had expedited the release of telco permits include Agusan Del Norte, Zamboanga Del Norte, Zamboanga Del Sur, Misamis Oriental, Nueva Ecija, Zambales, Maguindanao, Antique, Laguna, Palawan, Oriental Mindoro, Tarlac, South Cotabato, Isabela, and La Union, among others.
Globe has also secured 84 Certificates of Final Electrical Inspection (CFEI) permits in the last eight weeks, a necessary document in applying for a permanent power source to power up the cell towers.
The telco giant, meanwhile, is encouraging its most of its customers to upgrade their 2G/3G SIM cards to 4G/LTE to help them maximize the benefits of network expansion rollouts happening across the country.
