Sony recently announced its next-generation console PlayStation 5 (PS5) which is set to launch by November alongside other titles to boot.

The new game console features backward compatibility so that it can run PS4 titles such as “The Last of Us Remastered” and “Bloodborne.”

With the PS5 now available for preorder, we’re giving you some recommendations to get started in playing your new console the moment it arrives at your doorstep, which also includes a few PS4 games worth trying on it.

CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS – COLD WAR

Coming soon in a few months, “Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War” goes a long way back to the ’60s to revisit among the tensest global conflicts in world history.

Expect picturesque graphics and Call of Duty’s signature first-person-shooter action.

CONTROL ULTIMATE EDITION

Remedy Entertainment confirmed its game-of-the-year supernatural action-adventure title “Control” to arrive in PS5 and Xbox Series X.

The Ultimate Edition will bring better visuals and performance that will further immerse you in the story.

CYBERPUNK 2077

The globally-anticipated dystopian RPG “Cyberpunk 2077” is developed by the same makers of The Witcher series, CD Projekt.

Cyberpunk 2077 is set to release in November on the PS4 and is available on the PS5 upon its release.

GOD OF WAR RAGNAROK

Sony’s “God of War Ragnarok” is also coming to the next-gen console, featuring Kratos saying “the time draws near, you must prepare yourself.”

The game will be released next year, but expect a new tale about Kratos and his son, Atreus, once it arrives.

FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE

Square Enix announced that “Final Fantasy XII Remake” will “support both the next generation and the current generation of consoles.”

Fans of the Final Fantasy series are hyped to see how awesome the characters would look like, with its heightened graphics that further encapsulate realistically anime aesthetics.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Gamers had Assassin’s Creed in mind when thinking about the dated release of PS5, as it features Vikings as its new assassin protagonist.

The new title under the Assassin’s Creed series will use RPG elements introduced in Assassin’s Creed Origins and Assasin’s Creed Odyssey.

Look forward to the Dark Ages, as it’ll be released this year before PS5’s release.

Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition

Capcom seemed to be keeping up to the tradition of making Virgil an exclusively playable character in Special Edition, through the latest teaser that features the fan-favorite dark twin in the series.

This November, the game will land on the PS5 launch date window that promises additional features such as new Turbo Mode and Legendary Dark Knight difficulty.

Expect the hack-and-slash action and vicious graphics up a notch with its Smokin-Sexy-Style moves at its max with Dante, Nero, and, of course, the ever-motivated Virgil.
