Former PLDT chief revenue officer Ernesto Alberto takes the helm of DITO CME Holdings Corporation as president following Dennis Uy’s resignation. Prior to his current position, Alberto served as an independent director of the holdings company.
Davao-based businessman Uy said he stepped down to give way “for appropriate balance of power, increased accountability, and better capacity for independent decision-making.” Uy, however, still remains as the chairman and chief executive officer of DITO CME.
Earlier, DITO CME chief operating officer Donald Lim bared that the company owns an indirect interest in third telco player DITO Telecommunity Corporation. “Once the necessary governmental approvals are obtained and the appropriate transfer documents are executed, however, the holder of the government franchise is DITO Telecommunity,” said Lim.
