Gifts, as in modern society, are most often given only for the sake of being received. Matters of it being valued, used, and utilized are usually put aside, so long as the package has been delivered. Global technology leader Epson, however, proved to be very thoughtful of its latest Gift of Brightness beneficiary, as they worked together to ensure a brighter future for Filipino students.
Aside from giving away tech packages to all its beneficiary schools, Epson crossed the whole nine yards as it went on to provide a product orientation & technical training for the school faculty and students of San Jose Elementary School Pag-ibig sa Nayon Annex. After all, who would just magically know how to operate SOME L220 Multifunction Color Printers and L Series Inks; M100 Single Function Monochrome Printers and Inks; an LQ310 Dot Matrix Printer and SIDM Ribbons, LW400 Label Printers and LW Ribbons, Epson projectors and a document camera. Yep, that’s quite a package there, man.
Kidding aside though, this project has truly lived up to its causes and addressed issues on our imperfect educational systems. By selecting the most-deserving and in-need schools that can benefit from the technologically advanced equipment, Epson has guaranteed a more tangible bridge from the younger generation’s dreams to their realities. Pag-ibig sa Nayon Annex of San Jose Elementary School, for one, has consistently ranked among the top schools of the DepEd NCR Quezon City Division. With these new additions on their beck and call, there’s no knowing just how much better the kids will fare now.
The Gift of Brightness advocacy of Epson Philippines was launched in December 2013, and has now benefited a total of 30 schools nationwide. Epson Philippines is currently selecting another batch of beneficiary schools with the help of DepEd and other partners.
