The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) launched its OneStore app to help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) market locally-made products online.

OneStore facilitates efficient delivery to customers since the SMEs can choose their logistic partner. Likewise, buyers can quickly locate the nearest SMEs in the area.

“The app will enable the easy transactions between sellers and buyers in the country since delivery will no longer be limited to logistic partners, thereby providing income to displaced workers amid the COVID 19 pandemic,” the DOST said.

The DOST aims to make the products available not only in urban areas but also in all regions reachable by local transport.

SMEs that want to use OneStore are welcome to participate as long as they comply with government requirements like approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and registration through the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

They also need to undergo orientation before using the app, said DOST Secretary Fortunato dela Peña. He added that the department does not collect any commission from the SMEs.

The app is available to download for free via the onestore.ph website. Stay updated with its latest products and offerings through its official Facebook page.
