World renown horror FPS game Doom 3 is now coming right out of the screen. That is, Sony made the game horrifyingly playable on PlayStation VR.
Doom 3: VR Edition will launch for PS4 and PS5 consoles on March 29, putting players in the Doom Marine’s point of view.
Loyal fans can immerse themselves into the game’s virtual reality plus two expansion packs called Resurrection of Evil and The Lost Mission.
As it is ported for VR, having “new textures, shaders and sound effects” cranks the realistic gameplay level up a notch. Features that are only available in the VR version also include players being able to peer around corners, take a 180-degree turn, and checking one’s status through a wrist-mounted display. Of course, there will be more jumpscares, sweating bullets, and, most of all, screams of absolute terror.
