The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is considering to utilize the e-payment machine, Gracia Telecom kiosk, for facilitating social amelioration benefits to informal sector workers.

Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III shared that the technology can help DOLE in expanding the reach to assist Filipinos affected by the pandemic, especially in rural areas where “there is little to no access to banking services.”

Narvacan recently donated Gracia Telecom kiosk, Ilocos Sur Mayor Luis “Chavit” Singson of Narvacan to the Department of National Defense (DND) for its personnel’s transactions activities. The machine enables users to pay bills, send money real-time, and top-up e-wallet and e-load conveniently without having to line up in banks. It also provides debit and multi-purpose cards used to access individual bank accounts for free, locally, and internationally.

Singson aimed to distribute 3,000 of these machines nationwide.
