The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Choreographers Series launches its first-ever solo-duet competition online via WifiBody [Virtual Body] 2020.
The platform will feature a 6 to 10-minute dance on the video of ten up-and-coming Filipino dancer-choreographers nationwide, which showcases an interpretation of the artist’s home as a stage and enables the viewer to view the story each artist can shape within the comforts of their private spaces.
Judges for the competition will be the leaders within the dance sector, namely, Nes Jardin and Basilio Esteban Villaruz, with Yokohama Dance Collection Ex-Director Shinji Ono.
The winner will take home a cash prize and the WifiBody medal in bronze designed by Leeroy New. Then another award to the dancer groups voted for the audience’s choice, in which the votes will happen on the CCP Choreo series’ official Facebook page.
WifiBody [Virtual Body] 2020 will be streamed for FREE on the CCP YouTube Channel on August 28, 2020, starting at 2 pm (Competition Set 1) and 4 pm (Competition Set 2). Winners will be announced by August 30, 2020.
