ARMSCOR Global Defense Inc., the Philippines’ oldest and largest firearms and ammunition manufacturer, will hold its Tactical, Survival, and Arms (TACS) Expo from June 23 to 26, 2022 at the Megatrade Hall of SM Mega Mall in Mandaluyong City. This is the first TACS expo to be held after the pandemic.

The Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año will be the guest of honor.

“We welcome the very first TACS Expo that we are going to hold after the pandemic. Aside from the LTOPF Caravan, there are other exciting sessions, new updates and models of defense weapons, sporting goods and equipment that the public can look forward to,” said ARMSCOR Deputy CEO and Senior Executive Vice President Gina Marie G. Angangco. Angangco is also a Philippine Army Reservist with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

TACS Expo aims to educate the public on defense, security, and survival, especially during disasters and emergencies. This includes basic knowledge on essentials to prepare in a go-bag and lectures and demos on self-defense skills.

On June 23, one of the topics will tackle alternative energy, spearheaded by Emergency Management Center Director Louie Domingo. The expo will also cover topics such as gun safety, rescue techniques, and data privacy.

This upcoming event opens opportunities for manufacturers, dealers, inventors, and preppers of firearms to showcase their products and new technologies. These include weapons, safety equipment, sporting goods, and other items for shooting enthusiasts, professionals, and athletic competitors.

The Philippine Army, Philippine Air Force, and Philippine Coast Guard will also feature their rescue materials and other equipment in their respective booths.

Firearms owners will also be allowed to apply for or renew their license, register their weapons, obtain necessary clearances, and certain drug tests, among others, through a one-stop shop called License to Own and Possess Firearm (LTOPF) Caravan.

The admissions to the 2022 TACS Expo and the 4-day event following are free, but you can also pre-register online at the official TACS website.
