Araneta City developer ACI Inc., with its ACI Management Consultant Rowell Recinto and Megawide Construction Corp. Head for Construction Frederick Tan presiding the expansion of the eight-story New Gateway Mall, to be expected to begin operations by the 4th quarter this 2020.
Frederick Tan said in a statement it was his company’s “fourth project with ACI”, with the other three were Cyberpark 1 and 2, the New Frontier Theater, and the Ibis Styles Hotel.
Being the segment of the “super block” Gateway Square, the New Gateway will have over 400 shops, more than 100 food establishments, 18 cinemas, and a 3,700-square-meter supermarket. It will also have a 500-seater air-conditioned chapel, a 700-sqm Atrium that serves as the venue for various events and performances, and even a gallery, among others.
Skybridges and footpaths will also be added to the Mall, linking it to other establishments in Araneta City.
The New Gateway costs over PHP3-billion and is currently 60% complete, according to Recinto. He also added that by late July or early August ACI plans to let tenants be in-charge of spaces for their own construction.
“But [for] the supermarket, our target is to turn it over [on or before] end-May because it takes longer to construct,” Recinto added.
