The Filipino motorcycle ride-hailing app Angkas announced on its Facebook page that it would soon accept credit card as a safer alternative mode of payment to minimize physical interaction between its drivers and customers.
Further details about this transaction set up are yet to be specified, but its post suggests it will begin as soon as this September.
Before the pandemic, the Angkas platform has only been taking cash payments for its ride-hailing services, including Angkas Padala and Angkas Pabili. At the same time, it offers free rides for healthcare frontliners within Metro Manila and Cebu.
Angkas app is available for download on both Android and iOS devices.
