Globe’s recent installation of 199 cell sites and upgrades on at least 1,619 sites in June and July 2021 resulted in better call, text, and data browsing experience for over 640,000 Globe customers nationwide.

“We bring the latest technology and services through our network builds and modernization despite the challenges of the different quarantine protocols brought by the pandemic,” said Joel Agustin, Globe Senior Vice President for Program Delivery, Network Technical Group.

“By pushing for the strategic builds and site upgrades, we were able to address the demands for connectivity not only in highly urbanized areas but also new locations where our presence is equally needed,” Agustin added.

In addition, the aggressive rollout and network build also touted 349,000 new subscribers and new mobile data users who also expressed good network experience with Globe.

Specifically, customers in Cebu, Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental, Cagayan, Nueva Ecija, Pangasinan, Negros Occidental, Iloilo, Tarlac, Zamabales and parts of Metro Manila experienced the most significant improvements over the passing months. Customers in Davao del Sur, Bulacan, Benguet, Rizal, Qurino, Cavite, Isabela, Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental, Capiz, Antique, Negros Oriental and Davao del Norte also reported an elevated customer experience.
